Position:            Contract Administrator, Film Group
Reporting to:     Director, Rights Administration & Operations
Location:           Toronto

Reporting to the Director, Rights Administration & Operations, this position is responsible for the input of relevant contract information into eOne’s rights management systems, administration of sales agreements, and to provide rights and availability reports to the TV & Online/Digital sales team.  This role will liaise with internal colleagues and external clients with respect to all aspects of rights management and Contract Administration. Although primarily related to exploitation of eOne’s USA and Australia film business, it will also involve exposure to other operating divisions.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the entry of all TV & Digital license deals  ensuring all licensed rights (media, territories, languages, etc), financial details, windowing and holdback provisions, and availability information is correct in the final document, and meticulously entered into the rights management database;

  • Provide Rights and Availability information and reports to the Sales Teams, as required/requested;

  • Liaise internally with relevant Sales Teams, Finance, Legal and Home Entertainment departments, as well as external clients;

  • Assist other Contract Administrators in cross-training functionalities;

  • Assist with the entry of acquisitions into our rights management database on an as needed  basis;

  • Responsible for ensuring that the integrity of the data in Jaguar is maintained;

  • Maintain sales contract tracking log & status report, and ensure folders are created on DocuShare; 

  • Projects for the Contract Administration Department as required;


  • College or University education preferred;

  • Highly organized, able to pay strong attention to detail and operate with a service-oriented mentality;

  • Superior written and oral communication skills;

  • Ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously, prioritize accordingly, and meet deadlines

  • Previous knowledge and experience with Jaguar, or other similar  rights management software, as well as MS Excel, are  strong assets;

  • Previous experience in the film and television industry, ideally in a legal / business affairs role, as well as bilingualism, are strong assets.
